Ive been trying to track down a minor coolant leak for a couple of months and finally , I think Ive traced it the pully that looks like its on the back of the water pump. Dose anyone know whare I can get some info on the Northstar Engine? Also dose anyone know if this is common with a Northstar with less than 70,000 miles? Thanks for any info.

We had the waterpump replaced on our 96 Concours when it had around that mileage, luckily we had purchased an extended warranty.

The Northstar waterpump is supposed to be relatively easy to replace. It unscrews from its enclosure & you screw the new pump back in, you will need a special tool though. Check out the GM shop manual or one of those Chilton guides if you can get one. There is also a Cadillac forum on the internet that is also helpful for information.
