  Jeffo,  ...6074 is for a 55 Cadillac.
...6073 is correct for 53 Buick straight 8.  Mystery solved!

#111.6074 vacuum advance mechanism fits 1953 Cadillacs.
#111.6069 is for 1952, there is no 1116073 in my parts book, maybe for another GM brand.

Jeff-I have a listing for vacuum control #1116073, as being for a 1953 Buick 40 series.

Jeff,

As you know if this 53 is the same fitting for the Cad all you have to do is change the spring and wonders of wonders it will work just like a NOS Cadillac one will.

Of course I set mine up on the old SUN Distributor machine and tweak them so that it runs well (if you dont they still run excellent).

Ho, Ho, Ho...

Since we cant say Christmas, this is my favorite X-Mas song from long ago.

Remember what Pogo sang in the comic strip (Walt Kelly):

Deck us all with Boston Charlie,

Walla walla wa and Kalamazoo!

Noras freezing on the trolley

Swaller-dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!

Dont you know archaic barrel,

Lullabye, Lily-Boy, Louisville Lou!

Trolley Molly dont love Harold,

Booley-booley

Pensacolley Hullabaloo!

My wife said all the Grey hair made me look distinguished. But with that song, now all of a sudden Im starting to feel old.
I thought we bought old cars to make us feel young!!!!!
