Paul

Can anybody tell me how to tell the diferance between a 390 motor and a 58 365 motor sitting in an engine bay. Apart from the obvios engine number identification, is there a signifigant visual tell tail sign that would tell me what I was looking at.
I am restoring a 59 coupe but am suspicious that it has a 365 from a 58 in it. I have not removed the engine as yet. Also did the 58 & 59 run the same transmission, and if so are they interchangeable.

Many thanks Paul.

Paul,
Did you read the recent posts over at the Technical/Authenticity Forum.  If not they might answer at least some of your question.
