Hi,
Can anybody please tell me the visual diferance between a 390 & 365, without the obvios id of the engine numbers.
I am trying to establish if the motor in my 59 is authentic, I am suspicius it has been at some time swaped over to a 365 out of a 58. Also is the transmision out of a 390 able to be bolted straight back on to a 365 without any changes.

Paul.

Paul,

I cant think of any easy way to tell. They were the same block.

What is wrong with using the engine identfication number or easier still the Engine Unit Number to identify the engine?
