This photo has the bolts marked #1 and #2. The book has lousy pictures and lousy instructions. Which one do I loosen to adjust this transmission? The car is a 70 DeVille

I vote for #2, so you can slide the rod and make it longer or shorter.  Youre adjusting the shift linkage, right?

Yep, I was told to play around with that in order to solve my PARK problems. If that does not work, I need a new bushing.
