Need help : How do you get a trunk floor shipped

I got a line on a really good deal ona trunk floor out west,  Im in NJ.  Ive heard people getting items shipped greyhound or truck freight.  Also, I did call DHL and they will do smaller pieces.  The owner of the salvage yard, will not do any crating, so besides the expense, Im concerned about the item being damaged.  

Anybody have any experience with this?

I used them to help a friend have parts (rear bumper, quarter panel, large side window, etc) shipped from Calf to Poland for his Xterra.  Evidentally, he cant get Xterra parts in Poland but even new, they are cheap here.
