Where can I buy todays equivalent to the 6 volt testers used in the "Cadillac Thoro-check engine diagnosis manual, 1949-1960" for my 49. To do the gen. output test, circuit test, amp draw, etc.. Also the rpm test, point-dwell, etc..
 Thank you in advance! Leo

Leo,
Any decent multimeter should be able to test 6-volt systems. At worst you could use the 12-volt scale and divide the readings in half. I have one I purchased through Snap-On Tools about 25 years ago that does 2,6,8,12,16 and 24 volt systems along with tach, dwell and amperage draw.
