Hi,
I own a 58 Sedan which has a Carter 3903 carburetor (obviously off of a 65 429 engine) which doesnt work. I had a mechanic tear it apart and put it back together again but it still doesnt work (it fires back at almost every time but high revs with full throttle).

As there is no obvious damage on that thing Im not sure if a rebuild-kit will help.
So I thought of buying an Edelbrock 1406 or 1405.

Has anybody done this before and if yes how did you do the choke conversion? It now has a mechanical choke but the Edelbrocks are only available with manual (1405) or electrical (1406) choke...
Thx for help

Robert
