This past weekend, a 1959 Eldorado Biarritz sold in what is a record price for a 1959 Cadillac in Australia.

A very, nice, meticuolous restoration, undertaken in detail about 10 years ago, and about 6,000 miles added in the past 10 years as an occasional weekend family cruiser, the car was restored to original factory white with red (bench) interior with white top. All factory options except bucket seats.

Sale price is confirmed at over $Aus 200,000 which is about $US 155,00 in todays exchange rate. The seller still has his hands full with a 1953 Eldorado undergoing restoration, a 1957 Biarritz (daily driver), a 1960 Series 62 Convertible (mint), a 1959 Series 62 Convertible (undergoing restoration), and 1959 Coupe DeVille (needing work), and an FJ Holden. The buyer is an Eldorado enthusiast proudly owning a 1957 Eldorado Brougham and a 1955 Eldorado convertible among his growing Eldoado collection.
