Just saw this in another forum:

On Friday June 2, 2006 at 2 pm the Gilmore Car Museum will hold its very first NO RESERVE AUCTION of surplus antique autos, collectables and antiques, lawn equipment, and former exhibit items. Over 40 cars  with more consignments arriving daily!

The Museum needs the room so we are auctioning to the highest bidder several items no longer used or displayed.

Hey do you know if the Gnomemobile studio set is included in the auction? I remember being able to climb into the back seat back in the 80s.  Very very much not allowed these days.

 Gilmore Car Museum auction
The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners northeast of Kalamazoo will hold an auction of about 65 vehicles June 2.

The museum called the auction "a spring cleaning" of surplus collectibles from its collection of 250 vehicles.

Among the vehicles to be sold are a 1909 Hupmobile, 1951 Cadillac, 1965 Excalibur built for actor Tony Curtis and a 1955 Buick Roadmaster convertible.

Some nonautomotive items will be for sale, including a 1920s carousel band organ, 1880s cobblers bench, a vintage soda fountain, and a 1960s penny pony -- like the ones used at local markets.

The Gilmore Car Museum, on M-43 and Hickory Road, will open for a preview at 9 a.m. The auction begins at 2 p.m.
