I dont kow what year it was but one the Caddys had a chrome piece on the trunk that simply said 5.0 liter.  Does anyone happen to know what year and model that was?

Rusty Shepherd CLC 6397

It was first used on the rear-wheel drive 1986 Fleetwood Brougham when the 307 cu. in. Oldsmobile engine replaced the HT4100 Cadillac engine. The Fleetwood name was dropped on this car for 1987 and it was known as just Brougham through 1992. The carbureted Olds engine was replaced in 1990, if I remember correctly, with the throttle-body fuel injected 5.0 litre/305 cu.in. Chevrolet engine with the 5.7 TBI Chevrolet engine being optional. All Broughams equipped with either the Oldsmobile or theChevrolet five litre engines had the 5.0 litre badge.
