TO: All lovers of old iron needing fasteners
Sugession. Check-out the local hardware stores to see if they carry a line of nuts and bolts by HILLMAN. ON an off chance that they, the local hardware store had a REAR AXLE NUT, I went to the local HW store and they had the "axle nut" that I needed and at an acceptble price. ( In a grade(8)eight.
Also, if any one out there is thinking of having UPHOLSTERY work done, better get your name on the "waiting-list", as they are busy. You can always call and cancell.

The local hardware store is an excellent place to look. Also check your yellow pages for "fasteners". I found that Greensboro has an outlet for "Automotive Fasteners", a wonderful company. They are also on the web. They carry the "Auveco" brand, the folks who made many of the original fasteners used on our cars. http://automotivefasteners.com/
Right now they have 1/2" X 13 stainless steel rods ten feet long on special......
