My 60 Cad Coupe has the Notorius Slim Jim Auto trans. I am doing a Frame off, and want a better trans w/ Overdrive. Any suggestions, or warnings. I am rebuilding the 390  engine

The only direct bolt in is the hydramatic , what you have now.
there are adapter to use with other transmissions, but it would cost more than having the hydramatic rebuilt.
( you would have to search the web for adapters, dont have links handy)
