I am looking for Club member Frank Pinola who owns a Persian Sand 59 Biarritz. I would like to ask a quetion in regard to his soft top. I notice in the photo of the car taken by Lou CLC 19028 at: http://www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/cpg132/displayimage.php?album=19&pos=33 TARGET=_blank>http://www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/cpg132/displayimage.php?album=19&pos=33  the car has original colour soft top. The matching color Persian sand top is Prairie Plumb, as seen on his car.

However this top material is not available ANYWHERE today, as far as my investigations go. A couple of years ago, I restored my own Persian Sand 59 Biarritz and could not find the correct color top, so I went for a burgundy color, temporoarily until, or if, I find the correct color top.

My question to Frank is, is his an original top or did he get the top from a supplier. And if so, which supplier?

I appreciate any leads. By the way, if intrerested you can see my car at: http://www.zanetti.net.au/priscilla.html TARGET=_blank>www.zanetti.net.au/priscilla.html

Thanks and regards from Down Under,

Paul

I believe that is an original top.  Very nice car; had an opportunity to check it out at the show.

I can personally attest to the fact that the top on Franks car
is the original top. never been touched.  Art

Paul, I saw Franks car at a show in PA about 30 years ago. I spoke to Frank.  He said the cara was all original, with low mileage.  It belonged (or had belonged) to his mother, since new.

It was ALL Persian sand. I can well beli9eve it is still the original car through and through.
