The card holder radiator bracket has a crudely painted #44. It looks like the color is Cadillac engine blue.
Is this a factory code, or perhaps a dealer customer numer?

IM not trying to be hard-nosed but I just cant figure out what you are talking about.

Thank you for your reply and interest.
The number I refer to is hand painted #44# (color blue) and is on the horizontal face of the bracket between the top of the radiator and the top of the grill. Above my mystery number (toward the engine)The bracket has 4 punched angular slots on the downward surface which I suspect held a long gone owner or build code card.Below (forward of it) my number in question is the male part of the hood latch.
