Carpet and Headliner Source

It seems there are a number of suppliers of carpet and headliner kits out there.  Does anybody have any recommendations (or bad experiences) to share?  Mine would be for a 56 CDV.

SMS has a good reputation. Another member told me about them. I requested samples for my 56 . They sent them right out. The samples are a perfect match. Check them out

Jenkins Interiors in North Carolina has complete kits for 1950s Caddies and his materials, leathers, etc. are the most authentic I have seen.  I suggest you give them a call, he
will be glad to send samples based on your interior code numbers. I Dont have his number handy but hes in Hemmings
and has an internet site as well.  Mike

I concur with Mike. Jenkins will tell you if they have the correct fabrics. I waited 16 months for "a sort of correct fabric" from SMS after they sent me the exact match. They said when they sent the perfect match that they only had a few yards. Too bad they neglected to tell me that after they took my $1500.00. I bought my carpet and trunk kit from Jenkins. It is a perfect match and they are more than helpful.  Jim

I got my fabric, vinyl, carpet and headliner from SMS for my 56 Series 62 Coupe.  It all was a perfect match and the SMS folks were very polite and helpful.  I alos got my 70 Coupe de Ville fabric from them and gotthe same great results.

I got my carpet from them... certainly not cheap, but perfect... I havent fitted it yet, so I cannot comment on the fitting, but the material and color is spot on

I got the vinyl and cloth for the seats from SMS in Oregon. excellent as well

Thanks for your responses.  I have met Mr. Jenkins and his shop is not far away.  For some reason, I hadnt thought of him.  I can find the necessary contact info.
