Should the headlight and tailight pods be painted body color including the trim rings?  Were the pods and rings ever chromed or nickled by the factory?  Thanks

Ill stick my neck out on this one. Im sure that the 36 headlights were done tha same as the 38s. The entire headlight shell was body color, including the headlight door (the removable rim around the lens). There was a slip-on stainless ring that fitted into the headlight door. Thats probably the trim ring that you speak of.

There is a 36 Conv Sedan Series 85 that shows the headlight housing and trim ring (door) painted body color.
