Dupont made a vinyl top dressing that was in a container similar to car wax (e.g., turttle wax).  It was a white paste that when applied would become clear.  This was a great wax for the vinyl top.  It was available at most of the auto parts stores, but is since nolonger available.  I have read some recommendations and none of the products works like the ole vinyl top dressing that Dupont produced.  Is there a similar product on the market? Any thoughts or comments?

The original Turtle Wax product was nothing more than
a diluted version of an acrylic polish for vinyl flooring.
It was a liquid (I still have some of the original).
They stopped making it about 20 years ago.

However, what I have used for years and its a great
substitute is K-Martss house brand of floor polish.
Its sold under the name "Mop & Shine" or "Ameribrand".
In this case, cheaper is better since its diluted.  Too
much acrylic content will dull your top.

Before each show season, just take a damp piece of terry
cloth (wring all the water out you can), wet it with the
polish and wipe a thin coat all over the top.
Let it dry -- thats all there is to it!  Clean the top
first with a mild detergent solution it its dirty.

You would not believe how many compliments and questions
I get about my 73 Caddys top (its original!).
