hi
i have a 1955 cadillac with the optional 2 x 4 carb set up. i have the rochesters. the engine has just been rebuilt and it is still running rich. it was running rich before the engine rebuild to. the car is smelly when idling. i have looked in the 1955 worksghp manual and it indicates how to adjust but is not clear. can someone help me.

There is a special suppliment to the 55 Shop Manual
that describes how to adjust the dual quads.  There
are alot of precise measurements to the linkage (also ties
in to the transmission kick down) that must be made for
the set-up to run right.  The booklet is about 12 pages and
has an orange cover, there was one for sale on E-Bay
this week,  They appear often, either in reprint or the
original.  Highly recommended to get your carbs on the
right track.  Mike
