I'm working on restoring a 1956 Coupe DeVille and have my steering column completely disassembled for repainting etc.
To move the car around as well as perhaps for even using as a pattern in case my gray matter isn't working well when I go to put this all together again, I'd like to know if these 2 years are interchangable. Appreciate any help you can give me!
Thanks! Chuck

They are some similarities between both models, but the part number are different. The safety switch is installed at another location.
In my opinion, they don't interchange.
