COULD THIS BE A CRANK SENSOR?
It has done this on 3 occasions driving, idling just shuts off then restarts, what should I look for?
Codes PO 603 & PCM 1599 only!
Thanks

Sorry to bring this up, but does this happen when anyone else is driving the car.

Maybe your Wife has programmed it so it works properly when she is driving it?

Bruce. >:D

PS.   Couldn't resist.   But, won't go anywhere near the "Crank" part.

hello there,i had a 96 sts,it had a self diagnostic feature that would flash a code for any problems,i did some looking on the net and found a web site that explained what the numbers meant,i cannot remember what the URL was.with a little bit of luck i think you would be able to locate it, or take it to a garage and they can do an OBD test on it with a scanner it will tell you exactly what the problem is.  thanks Harvey Bowness
