How popular was this color??????

I am in the process of buying a long sought after 70 CDV with a paint code of 42, Lanai Green. The vinyl top is white, with white leather, black carpets/dash.  Can anyone tell me the popularity of the color or how I might research it? Thanks

 As I remember that color wasn't that popular, just going by what I remember seeing.  Of the Greens I remember #34
 and #96 being fairly popular

The 1971 Cadillac Data Book does not list a #42 color code.  The closest color to Lanai Green is #34, Adriatic Turquoise.  For colors used in 1970, it indicates percentages "Through May, 1970".  A Calais/deVille (without convertible) gives a percentage of 7.5.  The Nottingham Green Firemist was quite popular in 1970.  Since Lanai Green was a spring color, it was probably available from April - July, or 1/3 of the model year.  One third of 7.5 is 2.5 percent.  It's probably a very uncommon color.

Thanks guys for all of your feedback.  I had never seen the color on a Cadillac and wouldn't you know it, I just saw one with the exact same combination as 'mine', only the interior was different.  I'll also add she was in about a # 5 (or even slightly less) in condition..I think it sold for $1500.
Johnny,  what you and a few other mentioned about the ' spring'color makes perfect sense, as the car was built in May, 1970...Now if I can only stand it till it's in my garage!!!
