Can anyone tell me if a fan clutch was factory standard issue in a '62 CDV?? I'm having overheating problems lately and I'm suspicious of the aforementioned fan clutch (I'm overheating while stopped at lights and tollbooths, etc.).  Thanks in advance for the necessary diligence.

You fail to give a very important fact. Is this an air conditioned car. If it is then it had a fan clutch. They were used on all air conditioned cars in 1960-63. During 1964 it was dropped midyear in favor of a seven blade fan. Non air cars of this period did not use a clutch fan.Warren

Thank you for your reply and question about A/C in my car, Warren.  My car does indeed have A/C, so the fan clutch is standard issue. Thanks again.
