In the process of restoring my '55 Coupe DeVille I took great pains to preserve and correctly re-finish all of the original harware. Most bolts heads are marked with "TR", I assume this was division of GM, can anyone tell me what it referred to?

Nigel:

"TR" was the correct head stamp for the under hood bolts on the '55 such as the radiator shroud,
front fender attaching bolts, radiator support channel,  etc.  They should be silver cad plated to be
fully correct.  This, I believe ( the "TR") referred to a GM supplier of the period -- I don't know who.
But the bottom line is, you've got the right ones!
