Hey guys,
I am new to the Cadillac world, but not new to restorations.
I just bought myself a 1940 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special.  At least thats what I think it is.
The gentleman I bought it from said it was an "L" series, one step down from a limousine, but I cant find anything about an "L" series.
So my questions come with someone helping me identify the model and everyone giving me some good info on where to find good parts and such.
Pics.

Ok so I found the trim tag on the firewall and it is a 60S.
The question still remains as to everyones best/favorite place to buy parts for these cars.

TMEMASTR, Your best bet is to get a copy of HEMMING MOTOR NEWSots of ads in the magizane. You only need one copy.Look for
COOPER'S Cadillac parts. You have a good looking car. I don't think that CADILLAC built meany 60S You can also put ads in the buy-sale section . Also the best advice I can give is to JOIN the CLC. Best $35.00 you will ever spend.
Good Luck,JIM

NAPA will have some items such as points, plugs, 6 volt bulbs etc.

I am sure others will have additional suggestions, but this can be a start for you.  I'd suggest getting a shop manual on Ebay, they appear fairly often (reproductions).  A master parts catalogue (also on Ebay occasionally) would be good as well, for both part numbers and the exploded view diagrams.  I also picked up a Fisher body manual for my car on Ebay.
