I've started to notice a loud squeaking/warbling sound while the car is warming up. It is not present when the car starts, but kicks in about the 5 minute point, which I believe corresponds with the timing of when the climate control system engages (same time I start to feel air blowing in my feet). It goes on for maybe a few minutes, and does seem to change and sometimes go away if I adjust climate control settings. After those few minutes it stops.

It does not seem to be affected by the compressor being engaged or not (same on "off" or "economy" settings as others).

Climate control functions normally.

It's been quite cold lately- sub 20 degrees in many cases, so I'm wondering if that is related.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Benjimin,
Although the fan is on a (temperature) delay, the ATC control system is functional from the moment the key is turned on (if is turned to functioning position (Lo, HI, Bi-level, etc.).  It is the fan itself that is on the delay so I would look to the fan motor as being he most logical source of the noise.
Once the noise starts, unplug the fan motor at the motor and see if the noise stops.

Makes sense- thanks! I figured it was something like that, but wasn't sure where to start. I appreciate it!
