After spending two years looking for a 1959 or 60 Low Mile original paint two-door hardtop I found one a week ago and just got it home. It's a 26,000 original mile, unrestored original paint and as close to perfect as you can find for a 63 year old car. Car needs a few things such as a new fuel pump, leaking from ethanol gas. And a leaky master cylinder. Both are original to the car. The car has it's original spare tire which has never been on the car! I'm sure I will have a bunch of questions as I start preserving the originality of this car!
Thanks

Looks like you really got a winner there!  I'm
sure it will clean up nicely (it looks very nice now).
Even the engine compartment looks very clean as well
as the interior.  Great find!

The car came with a lot of cool documentation including a letter from Cadillac to the original owner

Great car. I have one in black. I now know more than I did about my car from your post.

When you step up for the right car, you will never regret it. Well done!

Now please turn the air cleaner so that the lettering is facing the front!  ;D

Eric, You're the best. I noticed that too.

To add to what Eric said:  On the top, outside edge of the air cleaner housing, just above the lettering, you will see the embossed word "FRONT" which should be centered on the top radiator hose.

I put the Cadillac on the lift to inspect the undercarriage which is incredibly rust free! While on the lift I put the car on the scales see what the weight is on this all original unrestored Coupe Deville (no AC) with a 1/4 tank of gas. She came in at 4900 pounds.

As an Appraiser, I recommend with such a clean original specimen the next time you place your car on a lift please (safely) take a look for the Vehicle Identification Number stamped on the rear frame...take a picture to add to your provenance records.

Chuck, about where is it located on that rear cross member? The bottom the car is well under coated and I would like to make note of that number.
Thank You!
