Need a heater core and valve for 1958 Series 62

Does anyone HAVE or know of a good heater core and valve for sale for the '58 Series 62?

Mine is leaking. We figure that if we go to the trouble of taking that fender off, we might as well make sure the core is rebuilt or like new before putting it back together.

I would appreciate any parts suppliers you have used as a source, too.  Thanks!

Hi,
I have a heater core, from a non running parts car, so I really hate to say for sure that it is good, since I can't test it. The system was full of anti-freeze still, so it should be good. $ 50 for it,

YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE TO REMOVE THE INNER FENDER WELL TO ACCESS THE HEATER ASSEMBLY, NOT THE WHOLE FENDER.

Thanks, guys. I found a core, and I'm looking for the Ranco valve. I found a "rebuild kit" for the heater control valve (made by Ranco) at NAPA. But it's a single rubber stopper piece...

I went back to the discussion on the '58 Owners' web site dating back to 2010. (That's how long I've been putting this off.) I remember now that I don't need to take the fender off to replace the heater core. But there was considerable debate about that back then. A couple of the guys sad that's the only way to do it right, but David King said it's a 2-hour job when you take out the inner fender, an all-day job when you remove the entire fender. We will try the inner fender approach and if that's too tough we'll go with the fender approach.

Doug, I was motivated not to remove the fender.  The Brougham front end sheet metal is one piece, so you have to remove everything.  I did have to remove the fender bolts at the base of the fender (I have the correct cage nuts that will twist off for sure, bought way to many) and also loosened the bolts on on the top of the A-Pillar and fender cat walk (under the hood).  Flexed the fender out and placed a 2x4 to hold the fender while then wiggling the box out.  Same is true on the other side for A/C.

Doug, you can also try Classic Auto Radiator in Farmingdale, NY.  I used them for my core and valve in my '59 and they did awesome work.
