Hello there,

Have any of you used the Jamco 3 inch lowering?  Are the Bilsteins worth the extra $400, over the standard $700 package?

Car is a 67 Deville Convertible.

I've got their 3" kit on my '60 with the standard shocks, and it rides great.  Not stock good, but a lot better than one would expect.  Bilsteins are top notch shocks, and I've got them on some of my higher performance rides.  For the Cadillac, I didn't think it was necessary.  Just my 2 cents.

I suggest you contact the Cadillac Kings lowrider club in Riverside or El Centro for advice.  CLC did a JV show w/ them at the Agua Caliente Casino awhile back and I found them to be very knowledgeable and friendly.  Phil

Thank you very much! I saw this car today (he is lowered 3" front and back) and I really like the look and want to do it.  I have the Bilsteins on my sports cars, and wasn't sure if was needed on the Caddy. Appreciate the help.  Any photos of yours?

Lucas- that is gorgeous!

What is wrong with me?  I see your 60, and I want yours.  I see the 69 and I want that Calais (meeting him this sunday for a suspension ride)

I have my 67 at home - but I seem to want everyone else's caddilacs!

He told me I should also look at the 2 inch option instead of 3 inch. Another Chevy friend suggested Eaton vs Jamco

Thanks Ryan, I'm the same way with other people's cars haha.... Eaton is good stuff, too, but I have had great luck with Jamco.  I do work for other people on their classics as a side gig, and just got done doing a 2" drop on a '68 Wildcat for a friend of mine.  2" does give better clearance, but honestly the only time I drag anything on my '60 is on very aggressive driveways, and it's only my mufflers that barely scrape. Your '67 is going to look great either way, and seeing that Calais in person will give you a good idea of what way you want to go.

Beautiful car, nicely done. Love the flamethrowers, like JATO in a C130!

THANK YOU SIR!

Yeah supposed to be 80 cadillacs in attendance on Sat. I will post some pics.  I will take some measurements and see how 2 vs 3 does. I am leaning towards the 3 which is Jamco only.

You are a bad influence!!

Hey thanks Laurie, I'm assuming your Fleetwood Brougham is the one I saw and read about on Hagerty's website (Klockau Classics, I believe).  Great car and a great story!

Nah, not a bad influence, just like helping people spend money and be happy  8)
Here's my '70 sitting stock height with the same size tire and wheel combo of that Calais so you can get a reference of what one looks like compared to it.
