Hello,

Just wondering how many members of the 49er's Club would post a photo or two of their fine automobiles?

Art,

Those are beautiful automobiles.  I had seen photos of your 1st one sold sometime in the past, but have not seen your 1950.  Love the color!

Jeff,

Those are interesting pics of your car coming home.  The snow makes it "real."  (Puts you right next to the car as it sits or makes it's journey.)

I always find that I prefer looking at the untouched or survivor cars at a show, wondering where it has been and where it will end up.

Fellows, I would  like to know how to insert a picture on this site.
Appreciate.

Tito. Just click on attachments below the box here when you reply.

Richard. It was a wonderful 3 day trip coming home to the the SF bay area. I vapor locked coming over the 12,000' Loveland Pass in CO and lost a hubcap but other then that it was a flawless trip.  We hit snow 100 miles from Ely,NV where we spent the night and awoke to find it a winter wonderland. I paid $2,500 for the sedan which had tranny problems, so I shipped him a spare for $75 via yellow freight (try that today) and paid him $300 to make 1 good.

PS. Our wonderful/deceased club technician Don Forlich was raised in Ely.

Tito,  Jeff is correct.  After clicking on attachments you must find where your pics are located, select and hit open, and you see where there is now the pic identification in the attachment box you started with.  Looking forward to your pics.

Jeff, Any more photos in 1986?  What does it look like today?  Sounds like a trip home to remember a lifetime, and with basically no problems at all.

Art, In the last pic I noticed the oil change plastic piece in your door jam.  Is that an original?  I have never seen one except in the Authenticity manuel.

Trophy at a local meet 2 weeks ago.  1st went to the 1910 Oakland and I took 2nd.

Richard, I do have more pictures but have to find them, including placing wood cloths pins on the fuel rail, which just happened to be available in the store near the summit :<)

Here's my oem lube tag on my 49 Fastback which all 49's came with.

My blue sedan went to a fellow restoring a 49 convertible in calif, so not a clue what happened to it ?  It had hydraulic windows/front seat, a feature I miss on my FB.

We flew into Colorado Springs and picked the car up in Franktown, near the Johnny Washburn :<)

This is, I think, interesting.  The maintenance tag was last updated in 1959.  Time capsule!
See post just prior to this one...

Jay, your picture is too small and curious, does your head hit the headliner while sitting in it ?

My wonderful father, ole Capt. RC. Maltby and I in late 89 as we gear up for the 1990 Carson City, Nevada GN. I purchased him a near mint 76 Eldorado which he really wanted ?__????? being very happy with his Toyota Camry, so he and mother could attend with us in style, seeing how he hadn't owned a Cadillac since 1958.
