Just thought I would share a discovery a made and a few photos. I posted a few questions when I rescued the car but, have finally figured out how to post photos....I think.
Two more shots..
Nice find.
Very fortunate find. There were fewer '40 convertile sedans, than in '41 I'm intrigued about the body number in the name plate. It looks like itn says 3C. The body color was black, and will make a handsome car when it's finished.
I did my '41 a few yearrs ago,and it was far worse than this one is.
Hi Doug , it's #36. Interior was black leather. Not sure about the top. I owned body #75 years ago. The last one. Bob
Lou, they were an extremely rare factory only option. My 40 conv. cpe had them. Bob

BOB , I don't thank it is body number5 36,look at the "6" above in the style number. I think the owner should say what he thinks it is. Regardless which body it is , it will look good when finished. Good Luck,JIM
Jim, if you'd observed & collected as many data plates as I have you would know that the style of the body type stamps & the style of the body # stamps are DIFFERENT. Besides, it wasn't the owner that made the comment, it was Doug. Look at your coupe tag & see what I mean. There is NO such thing as body # 3C. Bob
