Hello everyone. To all Kiwis – our September issue means it is spring for us at the bottom of the world! Like you my fellow Kiwi members, I am sure you too are looking forward to Day Light saving at the end of September and warmer days ahead = more cruising opportunities provided Covid doesn't get in the way. I hope you are enjoying what will be still summer for you! Boy those heat waves and wild fires across California continue, whoa! Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys!
Covid update – As I pen this, we are in a country-wide Covid Lockdown 4 (the highest Alert Level for us) with 22 community infections all in Auckland at this stage. It seems the infection has come from New South Wales (in Australia). Auckland and the area of Coromandel will be in Lockdown for an initial seven days. The rest of the country (like where I live) are in Lockdown for three days but given the likely increase of infection numbers, I expect Auckland and Coromandel to continue Lockdown for maybe a month and the rest of us two more weeks, if not a month too? The Govt. will tell us today (20th August) what our fate will be! Tune into www.newshub.co.nz at 1pm NZ time today to hear what is going on! Around the world, many new waves. Keep Covid safe out there.
