Bill Levy CLC # 25695

vIt’s October and that means summer has gone and the colors of fall are here.  It is that time of year when the God paints the trees with beautiful colors, the mornings turn cool, and the days grow shorter.  And it is time for the car dealers to uncover their showroom windows and show off the new cars imported from Detroit, and Lansing.  This means its time to hop in the Cadillac and take a road trip and enjoy the fine weather, hit a few car show and show off that baby, and join NTXClC members at some fun events.

We have the State Fair Of Texas (‘y’all come now, hear?”) to show off our cars (and get in the fair free), and then there is the Regional meet at Sewell Cadillac.  The judging this year will be from real judges and not just our peers.  And then there is the Town Village Retirement Craft Fair where we can again show off our cars.  Of course there are car shows throughout the metroplex where the Cadillac Kids will be in competition with other classes of cars.  Lots of fun and the enjoyment of being outside.

In this issue of the Standard Of The World we have a 1957 Convertible as our feature car.  There are some notes and pictures of some car shows, information on up and coming events, another story about “my” car, and all the regular items of information you have come to expect.

Not yet on the published calendar, but finalized at the member meeting at the Texas Fire Museum tour, our Christmas Dinner will be held on the 20th of January, 2013 at the Doubletree By Hilton (this is the same Doubletree where we were last year, but they changed the name… again).

Don't forget to order your new NTXCLC name badges.  See page 4.

Happy Trails and Careful Motoring.   ;)
