Identify This Bracket From 500 Cad

Carl,I think someone mentioned it here but it sure looks  lot like the bracket that bolts to the rear of the drivers side cylinder head that holds the cruise control actuator.

You have a totally different engine in the '63. It looks like the later 390 or early 429. It's still using the 4 speed Hydra-Matic. The earlier 390's used a throttle return spring up in the front hooked to a small tab that was attached to the thermostat housing rear hold down bolt.

Thanks, I'm aware that the 63 390 is a completely different engine. It is the redesigned 390/429 format. I attached the picture to illustrate the "possible" similarities of the bracket in the OP's attached picture. If I read his post correctly,  he just requested "suggestions" of what we members thought it may be. I never said that it "was" the throttle return spring bracket for his engine. He even said it may not even be something from his engine. My response was just a question marked suggestion indicating that I was making a guess to what it may have been. Thanks, again.
