The Tassie Devil(le)

G'day Jon,

I found when looking for a 1972 Eldorado Convertible to replace my previous 1960 CDV, which I sold so I could have the money to buy the replacement in my hand, I found that every time I saw one, the seller wanted to pay off the National Debt with my money, or Wanted to sell it because it was no good, and wasn't what I was looking for.

I found that every time I wanted to buy, nobody wanted to sell, when I wanted to sell, or had to sell, nobody wanted to buy.

I usually had my best offers to buy a car from me was the day after I had completed a rebuild, and before I was finished enjoying it.

You just have to be patient, as one day, it will come into view, but thats' right, it will probably cost you more.   Much more.

THIS 1960 CADILLAC ELDORADO SEVILLE COUPE IS #1065 OF 1075 PRODUCED. ONE FAMILY OWNED CAR WITH 89754 MILES. IN STORAGE SINCE 1975. ORIGINALLY SIENNA ROSE WITH MOSTLY ORIGINAL MATCHING INTERIOR . THE MOTHER OWNED THE CAR NEW AND GOT TIRES OF SIENNA ROSE, WHICH IN MY OPINION IS A BEAUTIFUL COLOR , AND HAD IT PAINTED A ROBINS EGG BLUE. THE INTERIOR DOOR AND REAR PANELS WERE DYED WHITE AND SOMETHING HAPPENED WITH THE REAR SEAT BUT I DONT HAVE ANY INFO ON THAT. IT HAS THESE OPTIONS- AIR CONDITIONING, POWER DOOR LOCKS, AUTRONIC EYE ,TINTED GLASS, THE REST OF THE POWER IS STANDARD FOR ELDORADO. NO AIR RIDE, TRI POWER IS MISSING. DOOR WINDOWS AND TRUNK MOTOR WORK. I WAS TOLD THE CAR RAN A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT IT IS LOCKED UP NOW. THE VINYL TOP IS PEELING FROM THE FROM BUT I DID NOT FEEL ANY RUST BUBBLES UNDERNEATH. ITS A PRETTY SOLID CAR EXCEPT FOR SURFACE RUST ON THE CHASSIS AND A FEW R SMALL RUST AREAS AS SHOW- WORK SPOT IS THE LEFT REAR FENDER ABOVE THE FENDER SKIRT. THE FLOORS HAD BEEN UNDERCOATED AND THATS WHAT PROBABLY SAVED THEM. I POKED AROUND AND THEY SEEM SOLID. ONE INNER ROCKER HAD SOME SOFT SPOTS. THE DOOR, HOOD AND FENDERS ARE SOLID. THE WINDSHIELD WAS GOOD EXCEPT FOR A FEW LIGHT WIPER MARKS. GOOD MISSOURI TITLE .THE MOTOR IS ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS, THE PAINT SHINES BUT IS OLD WITH LOTS OF AGE DEFECTS.
