Title: Flat-jack tire pillows
Post by: tkcmt2@msn.com on November 20, 2015, 10:43:06 PM
Does anyone have any experience with "flat jack" air pillows that you supposedly park a car on to help prevent flat spots when stored for lengths of time? Looking to see if they really work or are mostly a gimmick.

Flat spots happened to Nylon cord tires before the introduction of polyester and other cords.  I've never encountered flat spots on any of my tires regardless of how long they have sat.

I have access to them.  Rick Payton is the one who is selling them in the US.

This is a good thing for cars that sit, unmoved for long periods of time.  Bias ply tires and the really low profile tires on the ultra high end super cars, as the later was what they were developed for.

If you are interested, shoot me a email.

Rick's car on them at the 2015 Grand National.  I can't find a photo of my car on them as it was as well.

David,
Here are two more pictures of the pillows... I did not get one of your car but i think it is in the background.
I had though about getting the pillows because they sit on a cold concrete parking garage floor all winter and my America Classic radials alway feal "bumpy" when i take them out after all the salt has washed off the roads.
Best,
Lynn

LOL,  :o  That's absurd and worthless.   Suspend the car from the axles if your not going to drive the car.  You already have jack stands?   Save your money and use them.
